Mt. Takao P.2

Two days after our Mt. Takao hike at around 8:52 in the morning, we found ourselves exhilarated and back on the train station leading to Takaosanguchi once more.  She has decided to take the challenging trails from Takaosanguchi base to Takao Cable Car Station, dropping the idea of taking the tram.....then from the Cable Car Station Rest Area, taking the off-beaten trail #4 leading its way to Takao mountain summit.

At a relax pace, we moved on gradually, controlling our strides to avoid sweating as it will definitely make us even colder when we got to the airy Takao Summit.

"My feet are happier walking on the unpaved trails. They are more comforting to my feet than cemented paths." As she gracefully stepped on ascending foot paths inside a beautifully maintained forested area.  The sounds of happily chipping birds were everywhere as we passed by the shaded sections of the forest towards a wooden suspension bridge connecting dense ridges.

There were some muddy sections that she needed to negotiate safely.

I can recall there were very few people trailing trail #4.  About four who overtaken us during our ascend and a total of 6 hikers plus 2 huskies trailing down we greeted.  Although oftentimes there were stiff wooden stairs to cutoff long foot trail ascends, she still chose to trail sloping side detour that's gentle and safer to her knees.  with tiny upward steps, she negotiated every challenge of trail #4 until reaching the wide paved entrance of Mt. Takao highest point.

So that was it.  Mt. Takao P.2 - April 16, 2023 Panalo!!!
